7ª REUNIÃO - 05/05/2011 - PREPARATIVOS

Caros amigos, os preparativos para a próxima reunião estão à toda. Resolvi postar aqui no blog a relação dos vinhos que será degustada na próxima 5ª feira, dia 05 de maio de 2011.

Os eleitos são os seguintes:

 

Chateauneuf du Pape – Domaine de la Mordorée – Cuvée de la Reine dês Bois 2001

14,5 % - 80% Grenache , 10% Mourvedre, 5% Syrah, 2,5% Counoise e 2,5% Vaccarese 

Vinho adquirido na França, pelo valor de 180,00 Euros (cerca de R$ 432,00).  

Vinho premiado com 100 pontos por Robert Parker.

Tasted on four separate occasions, and awarded a perfect score on three of those, the 2001 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee de la Reine des Bois even surpasses the extraordinary Reine des Bois produced in 2000, 1999, and 1998 ... and that’s saying something! An inky/purple color is followed by a heady perfume of graphite, blackberries, kirsch, licorice, truffles, and charcoal. This full-bodied effort displays endless concentration in its pure, dense, generous flavors. It is broadly flavored, with beautifully integrated acidity, tannin, and alcohol. A blend of 78% Grenache, 10% Mourvedre, and small quantities of Cinsault, Counoise, Syrah, and Vacqueyras, it is made from 60-year old vines, and aged both in cask and neutral foudres from what are obviously very low yields. Sadly, just over 1,000 cases were produced. This classic Chateauneuf du Pape requires 3-5 years of cellaring; it will last for two decades. A modern day legend, it is an example of what progressive winemaking can achieve without abandoning the traditions of the appellation.

A focused red, with silky tannins and lots of plum and currant character. Medium- to full-bodied, with a medium to long finish. Best after 2004.

Chateau Le Gay 2003 – Pomerol – Bordeaux

 

13,5% - 80% Merlot e 2-% Cabernet Franc

Segue a descrição do vinho feita pela Wine Spectator:

Complex aromas of blackberry, olives, flowers and lightly toasted oak follow through to a full-bodied palate, with fine tannins and a long, caressing finish. Pretty and refined. Best after 2010.

Beaune Du Château 2007 – Premier Cru – Domaine Bouchard Pere & Fils - Borgonha

Plenty of spice leads off, with cherry and mineral to boot. There are some light tannins that need to be absorbed, yet this is balanced overall and long. Best from 2011 through 2020.
